Weekly Activities

Each week our campers are kept busy having fun from the moment the arrive! Our counselors greet their campers each morning and begin the day with check-in and small group activities. Throughout the week we keep an action-pack agenda that includes arts, crafts, STEM learning, sports games, our “Summer Blast Amazing Race”, Paleotales Fossils, water fun, and so much more! Keep reading below for more details!

Camp Summer Blast has been designed to provide campers with a wide variety of activities throughout the week. Each day is packed full of activities ensuring that your child will have fun rain or shine. If it rains or is extremely hot we have a fully enclosed indoor space to keep everyone dry and cool. Below you will find information on the various activities that take place throughout the week.

Our Amazing Race!

Get ready for an epic adventure when our Campers partake in the SUMMER BLAST AMAZING RACE.  Campers are teamed up with their counselor in a battle for weekly bragging rights and the coveted Summer Blast camp trophy!  Each team will participate in a number of entertaining, silly, laughable, and of course fun, challenges that require teamwork and (some) skill.  Teams are also encouraged to pick a team name and theme prior to the big day and dress up to add to the fun!

Our Summer Blast Amazing Race occurs each Friday as a great finish to an awesome week.

STEM (STEAM) Activities

Get ready for amazing mind-activating activities with our weekly STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) challenges. Campers will partake in STEM (STEAM) activities whereby they work with other campers to complete tasks. These inquiry-based tasks require campers to problem solve and use their brains and teamwork to complete tasks. They will have a 'Blast' working together while simultaneously developing their brain power!

STEM (recently changed to STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) has been fully embraced by Ontario schools and is an essential skill in our ever-changing society. Our STEM Camp activities are developed by OCT trained teachers and are sure to create conversation around the dinner table! STEM Camp activities take place each Tuesday.
